Artem Bagautdinov

I’m a Co-Founder & CEO, currently building a Physical AI company for public safety โ€” bootstrapped, in stealth, and based in the Greater Seattle Area.

I’m an engineer at heart. My love for technology started on a ZX Spectrum clone I got on my 8th birthday โ€” I played games, then figured out how to hack memory for infinite lives, and never really stopped taking things apart to understand how they work. I studied computer science at MIPT (Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology) and spent the better part of the last decade leading embedded systems and firmware teams at Axon and Flock Safety, helping scale physical security hardware to hundreds of thousands of devices in the field.

I’ve been flying drones โ€” cinematic and FPV โ€” for years, and I hold an FAA Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot license. Drones and autonomy are where my obsession with hardware, embedded systems, and AI all converge, and where I’m spending my time now.

I moved to the Seattle area from Moscow in 2012, and life here has grown a lot since then โ€” I’m lucky to share it with a wonderful wife, three kids, and two cats. When I’m not in the lab, you’ll find me flying drones, running, road cycling, or on the ski slopes. I used to snowboard for years until my wife โ€” a much better skier โ€” convinced me to switch. Still not sure I made the right call ๐Ÿ˜‚.

I write here regularly about drones, autonomy, and Edge AI. If any of that overlaps with what you’re working on, I’d love to connect.
